Animal Advocacy

Animals can't vote or speak for themselves in the halls of power. But you can. Learn how to use your voice to create lasting change for animals through legislation and civic engagement.

Why Political Advocacy Matters

Individual actions like adopting and fostering save individual animals. But systemic change — stronger anti-cruelty laws, better shelter funding, mandatory spay/neuter programs — saves millions. Political advocacy is how we change the system.

Contacting your legislators is one of the most effective things a citizen can do. Elected officials pay attention to constituent calls and emails, especially when they receive many on the same issue.
